The Republic of Moldova switches to winter time this Sunday
On the night of October 26 to 27, the Republic of Moldova will switch to winter time, by moving the the clock back one hour. Thus, 4:00 in the morning will be 3:00, .
As every year, the change to winter time is on the last weekend in October. Sunday will have 25 hours, being the longest of the year.

The Republic of Moldova adopted winter time starting in 1979, to maximize the use of natural light and reduce the need for artificial lighting.
The first time change was made in Great Britain in 1908.
