Serious accidents in Stauceni and Falesti: two people died
Two people died in two road accidents that happened on the evening of January 29, in Chisinau and Falesti. According to the IGP, the first accident occurred in the village of Răuțel. Law enforcement officers determined that a car, driven by a 40-year-old man, hit a 74-year-old cyclist from behind, who was travelling on the road between the localities of Răuțel and Pîrlita. As a result of the impact, the cyclist died on the spot.
The second accident happened around 10:00 p.m., on the Chișinău-Orhei road, in the commune of Stăuceni. A 64-year-old man was fatally hit by a car, driven by a 57-year-old man, while he was crossing the street illegally.
The drivers of both vehicles were breathalyzed and the results were negative. Police started investigations to determine the exact circumstances of both accidents.
