Arsenal crush Manchester City 5-1 in Premier League showdown
Arsenal London secured a stunning 5-1 victory over Manchester City in the marquee match of the 24th round of the English Premier League.
Norwegian Martin Ødegaard struck first in the 2nd minute. The "Citizens" equalized in the 54th minute, with Erling Braut Haaland scoring a header. However, nothing could have prepared Pep Guardiola's side for the disaster that was about to unfold. The conceded goal only fueled Mikel Arteta's team, who scored twice in just six minutes. First, Ghanaian Thomas Partey put the Gunners back in the lead, followed by 18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly, who netted a third for the home team.
The Gunners continued their dominance, scoring two more goals through German Kai Havertz and 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri.
