People with a contribution period of at least 40 years will receive increased pensions.
People who have completed a contribution period of at least 40 years will receive increased pensions, under a draft law approved today by Parliament in two readings. The document provides for an increase in the old-age pension to 3,300 lei per month.
The project supports pensioners who, despite having worked for a long time, receive low pensions due to low salaries. Among them are people who have worked in education, agriculture, social assistance and other essential sectors of the economy.
Their pensions will be increased ex officio, without the persons submitting an application to the territorial social insurance houses.
According to data provided by the National Social Insurance House, in the Republic of Moldova, currently, there are 30,611 people with a contribution period of at least 40 years, who receive a pension of up to 3,300 lei.
