Dozens of children and young people joined "Give a Book" campaign
Dozens of children, youth and adults came to the Parliament this week to join the "Give a Book" campaign, an initiative aimed at supporting disadvantaged children from different localities in the country. The collected books will reach the beneficiaries of day care centers managed by the "Diaconia" Social Mission.
Among those who donated books were students from the “Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra” Theoretical Lyceum and the “Orizont” Theoretical Lyceum, as well as students from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and the Moldova State University. The young people discussed legislative initiatives and the decision-making process with deputies, expressing interest in the role of the Parliament in supporting education and the youth sector.
A group of volunteers from the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace, from Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Albania and Ukraine, also visited the Parliament.
