Bălți // A minor was hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing
An 11-year-old girl was hospitalized in serious condition after she was hit by a car. The road accident occurred on February 24, around 2:30 p.m., at the intersection of Pavel Boțu str. and Tudor Vladimirescu str. in Balți municipality. The information was confirmed for Teleradio-Moldova by the press officer of Balți IP, Lilia Harea.
The police found that a car driven by a 55-year-old woman hit the minor who was crossing the street legally at the pedestrian crossing. Following the impact, the child was transported to the hospital.
The girl is in serious but stable condition, Andreea Galici, the spokesperson for the Clinical Hospital in Balti, told Teleradio-Moldova.
The driver was subjected to a breathalyzer test with a Drager device, which determined that she was not intoxicated.
An investigation was started to establish all the circumstances of the accident.
