The Oscar-winning documentary – “20 Days in Mariupol” – will be screened this evening on Moldova 1 TV

Three years after the start of the Russian invasion, Moldova 1 TV will screen the documentary "20 Days in Mariupol", filmed during the Russian army's siege of this Ukrainian city, in the spring of 2022. Don't miss this moving testimony, the story of a human tragedy, tonight, at 10:00 PM, on Moldova 1 TV.

"20 Days in Mariupol" is a chronicle of the war captured over 20 days in the neighboring country, told in the first person. Find out tonight, on the public TV channel, the story of the besieged city, of the people who were forced to hide in basements from the bombings of the Russian army.

We remind you that the documentary "20 Days in Mariupol" won the Oscar in the "Best Documentary" category and is the first in the history of independent Ukraine. The film was created by Ukrainian journalist Mstyslav Chernov, photographer Yevhen Maloletka and producer Vasilisa Stepanenko. They arrived in Mariupol on February 24, 2022 and remained in the besieged city, even when the Russian army bombed the town. The author of the film, Mstyslav Chernov, said at the time that he would give this award so that Russia would not kill thousands of Ukrainian compatriots.
