The Republic of Moldova will access the EU Cybersecurity Reserve

The Republic of Moldova will access the EU Cybersecurity Reserve, a support mechanism for incident response and immediate recovery after significant and large-scale cybersecurity incidents.
The members of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration approved the report on the advisory opinion for amending the Agreement between our country and the European Union on the participation of the Republic of Moldova in the Digital Europe 2021-2027 Programme.
The ratification of this document will strengthen the country’s cybersecurity capabilities. Moreover, participation in the Digital Europe 2021-2027 Programme supports the acceleration of the digital transformation of the economy, industry and society, as well as brings benefits to citizens, public administrations, and businesses in the Republic of Moldova.
The programme has a total budget of 7.6 billion euros and provides funding for projects targeting high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, advanced digital skills, deployment and optimal use of digital capabilities and interoperability, as well as cybersecurity and trust. Our country ratified the agreement on participation in this Programme in 2024.
