Tax Service monitors economic units in flower trade and HoReCa on the International Women's Day

The State Tax Service (SFS) is monitoring taxpayers in the HoReCa sector and flower trade in the context of International Women's Day, when the demand for these services significantly increases.

To promote a fair competitive environment and avoid penalties, tax authorities recommend that businesses issue tax receipts for every transaction, use cash registers properly, and declare their income by the law.

The State Fiscal Service (SFS) also encourages consumers to request a tax receipt for every purchase, regardless of its value. This practice helps reduce the informal economy and ensures fiscal equity.

In February 2025, the State Tax Service conducted 111 tax audits of businesses in this sector and identified legal violations in 55 cases. Consequently, tax penalties totalling 261,000 lei and administrative fines amounting to 58,000 lei were imposed.
