Zebra, kangaroo babies delight zoo visitors in Chisinau
The Zoo is packed with visitors. Lines formed after news of recent births. Among them are a zebra foal, a kangaroo joey, and two lambs.

They are all healthy and beginning their adventure at the city zoo.
The zebra foal, Naomi, is almost a month old. She is now getting acquainted with the aviary under her mother's watchful eye.
"She spent some time with her mother in a separate, warm room to acclimate, given the cold weather, before they were recently allowed outside," said Cristina Flocos, a guide.
The kangaroo joey was born this winter. It's already poking its nose out of its mother's pouch. It is not yet known whether it is female or male.
"It doesn't stay out of its mother's pouch for long. Once it's big enough and allows us, we'll be able to determine its sex," added Cristina Flocos.
And in the family of the five mouflons, another member has arrived.
"The cub is healthy and strong. Within minutes of birth, it stood and searched for food," reiterated the guide.
Of all the visitors, the happiest were the children.
"The rabbits are beautiful, with lovely colors. We didn't get to see the zebra foal."
The zebra foal attracted the most attention.
"I like that it has stripes and I also like that it is black and white."
"We heard about it from friends yesterday, so we came to see the zebra and kangaroo cubs." "We are also amazed that there is a small zebra, it is very cute, and in general, we are pleasantly amazed that the zoo has so many animal specimens."
"It's lovely. It's warm outside, and the children have put down their phones to watch the cubs." "How do you like it?" "Very beautiful!" "What do you like about it?" "That it's sleeping."
The Chișinău Zoo's collection numbers nearly 1,200 specimens, representing 136 animal species.
