From Otopeni International Airport, representatives of all dioceses of the Romanian Patriarchate will take the Holy Light to their dioceses, and representatives of the Metropolitanate of Bessarabia will bring it the same evening, around 9:00 PM, to Chisinau International Airport.
Also on Saturday evening, the Holy Light will be brought by the Metropolitanate of Moldova. According to the institution, for the 23rd consecutive year, the Holy Flame from the Holy Sepulcher will be brought to the country by a delegation led by His Holiness Filaret of Capriana and His Holiness Patroclus of Dondușeni, following a pilgrimage organized during the Passion Week in the Holy Land. The Holy Light will arrive at around 8:00 PM in the square of the Metropolitan Cathedral "Nativity" in Chisinau, from where His Holiness Vladimir will distribute it to the clergy and the faithful.
We would like to point out that the ceremony of the descent of the Holy Light in Jerusalem takes place on Holy Saturday and is considered a miracle of the Orthodox Church. After a special prayer said by the Greek Orthodox Patriarch at the Holy Sepulcher, the flame mysteriously appears and is distributed to religious people.
