Holy Fire arrives in Moldova via two churches

The Holy Fire from Jerusalem will also arrive in the Republic of Moldova this year. It will be brought by the delegations of both Orthodox Metropolitanate in the country.

According to the Metropolis of Bessarabia, the Holy Light will be brought by Father Archimandrite Teofil Anăstăsoaie, Superior of the Romanian Patriarchate's Settlements in the Holy Land, who will receive it directly from the Holy Sepulchre and transport it to Romania. From Otopeni International Airport, representatives of all dioceses of the Romanian Patriarchate will take the Holy Light to their dioceses, while representatives of the Metropolis of Bessarabia will bring it today, around 9:00 PM, to Chișinău International Airport.

The Metropolis of Moldova will also bring the Holy Light today. According to the institution, for the 23rd consecutive year, the holy flame from the Holy Sepulchre will be brought to the country by a delegation led by His Grace Filaret of Căpriana and His Grace Patron of Dondușeni.

The Holy Fire is expected to arrive around 8:00 PM, in the square of the Nativity of the Lord Metropolitan Cathedral in Chișinău, from where His Eminence Vladimir will distribute it to the clergy and the faithful.
