Incident at the Airport // Flight to Bucharest was canceled
At Chisinau International Airport, a mobile staircase operated by an airline collided with an aircraft on the ground. Natalia Cojocaru, the airport's spokeswoman, told Teleradio-Moldova that the incident occurred this morning and that the plane was scheduled to fly to Bucharest.
"We confirm that the incident occurred but want to assure everyone that it did not compromise the safety of passengers or staff. For details regarding the causes and circumstances of the incident, please direct your inquiries to the companies involved. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and want to emphasize that safety remains our top priority," the quoted source stated.
Natalia Cojocaru explained that the decision to cancel or postpone the Chisinau—Bucharest flight rests solely with the responsible airline operator. The airline will communicate directly with the affected passengers.
