TRM hosts annual European public media journalists' meeting for the first time

"Teleradio-Moldova" company (TRM) will host the annual EBU News Contacts Meeting from May 26 to 28, 2025. This event marks the first time it has been held in the Republic of Moldova and will gather more than 100 journalists, editors, and editorial leaders from prestigious media institutions across Europe in Chisinau.

Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), this event aims to foster collaboration, innovation, and excellence in public journalism. The agenda features sessions focused on current challenges in the media landscape, including covering the conflict in Ukraine, the US elections, the use of artificial intelligence, and combating disinformation in modern newsrooms.

The official opening is scheduled for May 27, with TRM Director General Vlad Țurcanu, the TRM team, and EBU representatives in attendance. Participating institutions include the BBC, RTBF (Belgium), ZDF (Germany), ORF (Austria), RTVE (Spain), NOS (Netherlands), HRT (Croatia), and UA:PBC (Ukraine).

The EBU is the largest alliance of public media organizations in the world, with 113 members from 56 countries. Teleradio-Moldova has been a member of the EBU since 1993.
