CUB reaffirms support for Moldova’s EU accession and adopts new political program

The Coalition for Unity and Welfare (CUB) has reiterated its strong commitment to supporting the Republic of Moldova's accession to the European Union. It views this goal as crucial for enhancing the well-being of its citizens. This determination was expressed in a resolution adopted today by CUB members during the party’s second congress.
Over 600 members participated in the congress, where they adopted a new political program. This program commits the Coalition for Unity and Welfare (CUB) to building a party with a social-liberal orientation, focused on the Republic of Moldova's membership in the European space.
"Liberal patriotism is the strategic direction we have chosen for 2025 as our guiding doctrine. This doctrine is based on the principles of liberal democracy, emphasizing respect for fundamental rights and freedoms alongside a minimal state. The Coalition for Unity and Welfare represents the interests of individuals with dual or multiple citizenships," stated Igor Munteanu, president of CUB.
Nine specific commitments were made during the congress to enhance citizens' lives. These commitments include providing the population with more affordable energy, supporting local producers, ensuring access to quality education for all, implementing efficient health services, and depoliticizing the justice system.
We remind you that the first congress of the Coalition for Unity and Welfare took place on November 5, 2022, during which the political party was officially established and Igor Munteanu was elected president. The Coalition for Unity and Welfare was registered as a political party on December 5, 2022.
