Trolleybus attack in Chișinău: man hospitalized after assault and stabbing by unknown attacker
A young man was hospitalized in the early hours of June 1 after being attacked by an unknown assailant on a trolleybus traveling along Grigore Vieru Boulevard, in the Rîșcani sector of Chisinau. The incident occurred around 1:05 a.m.
According to Svetlana Scripnic, the press officer for the Chisinau City Police Department, a young man was attacked while returning home. During his journey, he was struck in the face by an unknown assailant, who then took out a knife and stabbed him in the left arm.
Injured, the man exited at the first bus stop, where he was subsequently picked up by an ambulance and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
The police started an investigation to identify and apprehend the attacker. The details of the incident are still being clarified.
