In memoriam Eugen Doga - Special program on Moldova 1 and Radio Moldova
On the day the Republic of Moldova bids farewell to Eugen Doga, one of its greatest composers, "Teleradio-Moldova" honors him with a series of special shows and broadcasts. On Thursday, June 5, Radio Moldova and Moldova 1 will adjust their program schedules to pay tribute to the master's artistic legacy with respect and admiration.
June 5 marks a day of national mourning in the Republic of Moldova in memory of composer Eugen Doga.
Moldova 1 will broadcast live the farewell ceremony, which will include a mourning rally and a funeral procession in honour of Eugen Doga. The special program will feature:
- A dedicated edition of Bună Dimineața with guests who knew the master.
- A special broadcast from 09:45 to 13:00, featuring interventions from Larisa Turea, Iulian Filip, Natalia Moraru-Vasilcău, Iuliana Gorea Costin, and others.
- The airing of emblematic films such as Singur în faţa dragostei, Maria Mirabela, and Luceafărul.
- Concerts from the archive, along with shows where Eugen Doga discusses his life and work.
Radio Moldova will pay tribute to its audience with thematic programs and recordings from the Radio Archive:
- Musicians Without Ties at 09:05.
- A Star Rises to Heaven at 09:30.
- The Last Waltz: In Memoriam Eugen Doga—a special edition featuring guests such as Anastasia Lazariuc, Anatol Chiriac, Ion Gagim, Fuego, Igor Sîrbu, and Ghenadie Ciobanu at 10:10.
- The Life of Books—an edition discussing what Doga wrote and what has been written about him at 17:10.
- Thursday Night with Cezara—a rerun featuring Eugen Doga at 18:20.
