"Alternativa" Electoral Bloc was officially registered for the September 28 elections

The "Alternativa" Electoral Bloc was officially registered to participate in the early parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28, 2025. This decision was made following a vote by eight members of the Central Electoral Commission, while the Commission's President, Angelica Caraman, voted against.

The electoral bloc consists of three parties: the National Alternative Movement, the Party for the Development and Consolidation of Moldova, and the Party of Common Action – Civic Congress.

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has stated that the registration is subject to revocation if the bloc does not address certain deficiencies noted in their application, as outlined in the decision’s motivation section.

Additionally, the CEC has approved the bloc's electoral symbol, which will appear on the ballots.

The bloc submitted its registration documents on June 20, making it the first to do so on the first day allowed by law for registering electoral alliances.

According to the Calendar Program approved by the CEC on June 18, the official electoral period for the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28, 2025, will commence on July 14.

The window for submitting documents for the registration of electoral blocs began on June 20. These blocs can request to participate in the election until August 13.
