Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu on a working visit to Great Britain and Ireland

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, will pay a working visit to London and Dublin from June 29 to July 2. During the trip, he is scheduled to meet with his counterparts: Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament, and Verona Murphy, Speaker of the House of Representatives in the Irish Parliament.
During his visit to the United Kingdom, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu will meet with members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Republic of Moldova. In Dublin, he is scheduled to take part in a joint meeting with committee chairs of the Irish Parliament. According to the agenda, discussions will cover proposed bilateral agreements, including those related to social protection and the mutual recognition of driving licences.
The Speaker will also hold meetings with members of the Moldovan diaspora in both the UK and Ireland. In Ireland, he will participate in the forum “Moldova–Ireland: Bridges through Excellence”, while in the UK, he will attend events such as “Diaspora Invest,” “Diaspora Fest Sport & Traditions”, and “Ear of Wheat”—celebrations dedicated to promoting the traditions, culture, and spirit of the Moldovan community.
Igor Grosu will be accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, including MP Radu Marian, chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the UK, and MP Ion Șpac, chair of the Friendship Group with Ireland.
