Craiova secures first Superliga win, matchday 2 recap

CS Universitatea Craiova clinched their first victory in the new edition of the Romanian Superliga football championship. Mirel Rădoi's squad defeated FC Argeș Pitești 3-1 on the second matchday of the league.
The Oltenians opened the scoring thanks to an own goal from Spanish defender Roberto Sierra. The visitors equalized through Leard Sadriu, but the hosts regained the lead before halftime with a goal from Mihnea Rădulescu.
Early in the second half, Ștefan Baiaram also scored for CS U Craiova, who now have 4 points from the first two Superliga rounds. Notably, Moldovan international Vadim Rață played 57 minutes for FC Argeș.
In another fixture, FC Hermannstadt drew 2-2 with Metaloglobus București. The Sibians had taken a 2-0 lead through goals from Tiberiu Căpușă and Ianis Stoica, but the visitors mounted a comeback in the second half, scoring via Yassine Zakir and Dragoș Huiban.
This marks Metaloglobus's first point in the Superliga. This year, the team earned promotion to the top flight for the first time in their history.
