Trump warns of new US strikes on Iran nuclear sites

The United States might again attack nuclear facilities in Iran "if necessary," said US President Donald Trump, Euronews reports.

The warning came after the Iranian foreign minister admitted in an interview with Fox News that three nuclear sites were severely damaged by US airstrikes in June.

The White House leader stated that although Iran's nuclear program is currently halted due to "serious and severe" damage, Tehran has no intention of abandoning uranium enrichment.

On June 22, the United States launched strikes on three uranium enrichment facilities amidst a 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran. Subsequently, Trump claimed these attacks "completely destroyed" Iran's nuclear infrastructure.

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Tehran has enriched uranium to 60%, a technical step close to the level needed for nuclear weapons. However, Iran rejects accusations of developing nuclear weapons, asserting its program is exclusively for civilian purposes.
