Elections 2025 // Moldova's electoral roll tops 3.29 million voters

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) reports that there are 3,298,443 eligible voters registered in the State Register of Voters of the Republic of Moldova.
Of the total voters, 2,759,169 are assigned to second-level administrative-territorial units.
The highest number of voters are in the Chișinău municipality (663,157), followed by the Gagauzia Autonomous Territorial Unit (129,029), the Bălți municipality (98,651), Cahul (97,447), Orhei (96,227), and the Hâncești municipality (95,889).
The remaining voters include two main groups: those with Moldovan citizenship who do not have a registered domicile or residency, such as citizens who have officially emigrated abroad (262,388 people), and eligible voters with registered domiciles on the left bank of the Dniester River (276,886 people).
