Visa-free travel for Moldovans in UAE starts 2025
Citizens of Moldova will be able to travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) without a visa starting September 5, 2025.
A Memorandum of Understanding on the reciprocal abolition of the visa regime for holders of ordinary, official, and diplomatic passports was signed in Abu Dhabi by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi and his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The document specifies that Moldovan citizens can travel to the UAE without a visa for up to 90 days within any 180-day calendar period.
"This agreement not only simplifies travel and strengthens friendly ties between the two countries, but also provides a significant boost to economic development, tourism, and cultural cooperation between Moldova and the UAE," said Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi after the signing ceremony.
According to data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, approximately 6,800 Moldovan citizens traveled to the UAE last year. A visa costs 80 euros per person.
