Cold-blooded murder in Telenești: woman’s body found in a well
Shocking case in Telenești district, where a 50-year-old woman from Chișinău was killed with an axe by a coworker. The victim's body was thrown into a well.
The crime happened on August 8, at the headquarters of an agricultural enterprise in the district, the Police informed.
According to the first information sent by law enforcement officers, the woman went there to check on some alleged illegalities. She suspected a 46-year-old man, an employee of the same company, of thefts from the enterprise's territory.
A conflict broke out between the two, which degenerated into a violent altercation. The man allegedly struck the victim several times with an axe, causing her death. Later, he threw the lifeless body into a well located outside the town. At the same time, he allegedly abandoned the woman's car in a wooded area, near a village.
Shortly after, the suspect was located and detained for 72 hours.
A criminal case for "intentional murder" was opened against him.
Investigators are to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy.
