1,000 lei school aid sent to cards: how to get it

The state provides financial support of 1,000 lei for each child in grades I to IX to assist with the start of the new school year. This amount can be transferred directly to parents’ bank cards. According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), for the funds to reach parents directly on their cards, they must log in to the government platform at mcabinet.gov.md and link their bank account to the unique financial support program.
Steps to have money directly deposited into parents' cards:
Visit [mcabinet.gov.md] and click on the "Authentication" button.
Choose one of the three authentication methods: mobile signature, electronic signature, or electronic identity card.
Navigate to the "MPay Payments" section.
Select "Social Payments," then click on "Add Payment Account."
Input the IBAN of your bank card.
Under "Payment Provider," select "Bank," and under "Social Service," choose "Single Financial Support for the Preparation of School Students."
Save your changes.
After completing these steps, the transfer will automatically be deposited into the designated account immediately after the National Social Insurance House processes the payments, starting on September 4.
Meanwhile, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) inform that for those who do not possess a mobile signature, electronic signature, or electronic bulletin, there is an alternative option: individuals can visit their bank to fill out an application to associate their bank account.
Additionally, individuals who prefer not to receive the funds on a card can withdraw the money in cash from any post office in the Republic of Moldova, beginning September 4, as stated by MEC.
We remind you that on June 17, during a press conference, the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, and the Minister of Education and Research, Dan Perciun, announced that all children in grades I - IX in the Republic of Moldova will receive a one-time aid of 1,000 lei to help them prepare for the new school year.
According to Minister Dan Perciun, this initiative will benefit approximately 295,000 primary and secondary school students, with a total allocation of 300 million lei. The funds can be used freely, and parents will not be required to provide receipts or justification for expenses.
Payments will be processed by the National Social Insurance House between September 2 and 5.
