Investments revive Negrea village community
The village of Negrea, located in the Hincesti district, is flourishing due to investments aimed at enhancing local infrastructure and supporting entrepreneurial initiatives. A modern outdoor playground and sports field was established, and plans are underway for a summer stage to be constructed soon. These projects not only improve living conditions but also stimulate local economic activity, providing residents with genuine opportunities to grow their businesses.
Gheorghe Crețu is the owner of a store that sells construction and household materials. He aims to make his premises more energy-efficient by installing solar panels and has already applied for funding for this project.
"The heating in the store and air conditioning in the summer are powered by electricity. Last summer and winter, our energy expenses were quite high, reaching 6,000 to 7,000 lei. We were still trying to save where we could. To start, we need solar panels, and then we will also invest in more efficient equipment," said entrepreneur Gheorghe Crețu.
Previously, the locality lacked a playground and sports area for residents. The city hall applied for funding through the "European Village" project, which has now enabled the community to enjoy these facilities.
"The children had nowhere to play. They would go out onto the road, which is dangerous because of the traffic. Now, with the stadium fenced in, we have a safe place for them to play, and we can let them go alone," one resident shared.
Another resident stated, "My husband and I live abroad. Every time we came back home, it wasn't easy. There was nowhere to take my child to walk or play, but now that the field has been built, it's perfect."
Mayor Ștefan Mangîr said, "It was essential to implement these projects. Where we didn't apply for funding, we saw little profit, but this one was successful. People now come to the city hall with proposals for other projects, and we conduct public consultations."
By the end of the year, the locality of Negrea will have a mini-football and volleyball stadium, as well as a summer stage, all constructed through the "European Village" program.
The village of Negrea has a population of over 900 residents.
