North Carolina National Guard will keep aiding National Army with crisis management and experience exchange

The North Carolina National Guard will continue its partnership with the National Army of the Republic of Moldova to promote democratic values and maintain peace. This commitment was reaffirmed during discussions between Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi and Major General Marvin T. Hunt, who leads the North Carolina National Guard delegation visiting Chișinău on Monday, August 11. The meeting also included Nick Pietrowicz, the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Moldova.

The participants discussed joint projects related to defense and explored programs for the exchange of experience between the military of Moldova and the United States.

They also addressed the defense and humanitarian projects being implemented in our country, focusing specifically on crisis management.

According to the US Embassy in Chisinau, "The parties reviewed the successful exchange programs that took place over the past year between officers and soldiers from the Republic of Moldova and North Carolina, and they planned events for the upcoming year."

Today, the American delegation met with representatives from the General Staff of the National Army. The meeting emphasized the importance of support from external partners in strengthening defense capabilities and improving interoperability.

Additionally, the US Embassy in Chisinau reported that the delegation inspected 31 "Humvee" vehicles that were recently donated to the Republic of Moldova by the North Carolina National Guard.

Recently, the Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatîi, met with Nick Pietrowicz, the Chargé d'Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Moldova, who is starting his term. They held a meeting at the Ministry of Defense headquarters to discuss joint projects aimed at modernizing the National Army. The conversation also focused on prospects for strengthening their strategic partnership to ensure peace and stability in the region.
