A heatwave is returning to Moldova, with meteorologists announcing high temperatures for the southern and central parts of the country on Sunday, August 17.

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, tomorrow’s highs will be between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius across most of Moldova. Additionally, a yellow code for fire danger will be in effect until August 21 for the southern, central, and western regions.

During the heatwave, citizens are advised to avoid direct sun exposure between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. They should wear hats, scarves, and loose-fitting, light-colored clothing made of natural fabrics, preferably with sleeves. It's also recommended to reduce intense physical activity outdoors and to stay hydrated, drinking a minimum of two liters of liquids per day.
