ELECTIONS 2025: BUN launches slogan — “For a prosperous Moldova in a Greater European Romania”

The Unity of the Nation Bloc has launched its electoral campaign with the slogan "For a Prosperous Moldova in a Greater European Romania." This alliance, formed by the National Liberal Party and the National Reunification ACASĂ party, introduced a list of 66 candidates. Among the BUN's priorities are declaring the Romanian character of the Moldovan state, implementing administrative reform and returning to the county system, restoring the heritage of the Metropolitanate of Bessarabia, and advocating for pension supplements to be paid by the government in Bucharest.

The Unity of the Nation bloc officially launched its campaign at Valea Morilor Park. The PNL-PRN ACASĂ alliance aims to unite the Republic of Moldova with Romania through a democratic process, gradually over the next five to ten years. The bloc's vision focuses on national and European integration, border liberalization, accelerated economic development, and the consolidation of Romanian identity. Its list includes several deputies from the first Parliament that voted for independence, as well as members of the National Renaissance Movement from the 1980s.
Valentin Dolganiuc, a BUN candidate, stated, "We were on the barricades, we were in the streets. We are tired of spending 20 billion lei every year on local public administration. We want the return of the people's church, properties, and holy places that were taken from us."
Anatol Țăranu believes that the Republic of Moldova could access European funds through Romania, potentially amounting to three billion euros per year for development.
He added, "We have often been accused lately of pretending to play someone else's game. The truth is, we are playing a game: the game of the Romanians, the game of Greater Romania. This is actually our mission. The brotherhood treaty means 50 euros from the Romanian budget for pensioners receiving small pensions."
If it reaches Parliament, BUN promises to promote a law that would make the Romanian language mandatory for all civil servants and state dignitaries, thereby encouraging proficiency in the language.
The Unity of the Nation Electoral Bloc is expected to appear in the 18th position on the ballots for the parliamentary elections on September 28.
The electoral campaign for the parliamentary elections will run until September 26.
To date, a total of 21 candidates have registered for the elections, which include four blocs, 13 parties, and four independent candidates.
