Japan’s ambassador to Moldova launches new TV series on Japanese culture
A new cultural series is set to begin on Moldova 1 on 1 September.
Japan's ambassador to Moldova, Yoichiro Yamada, will present a series on Japanese society and culture on the public broadcaster, with the show entitled "Where the Sakura Blooms." The show will be broadcast in Russian, Monday to Friday, at 16:30, for the duration of September.
Each 30-minute episode will feature segments from the popular anime, "Chibi Maruko-chan," which follows the life of a young girl in 1970s Japan. Ambassador Yamada will provide explanations on the traditions and customs illustrated in the animated series.
Journalist Nicu Kovalenko will co-host the show alongside Ambassador Yamada.
