Romania is the primary export market for wines from the Republic of Moldova. According to the National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV), more than 10 million liters of Moldovan bottled wine were exported to Romania in 2024 alone.

Currently, Moldovan wine is exported to over 70 countries worldwide, accounting for approximately 90% of the Republic of Moldova's total wine production.

The quality of Moldovan wines were recognized internationally, with over 8,000 medals awarded in the last nine years, including more than half of them being gold medals.
