FILIT Chisinau: Meet renowned authors

Chisinau will host the FILIT Evenings, part of the third edition of the International Festival of Literature and Translation (FILIT), from September 25 to 28, 2025. Participation is free, but prior registration is required on chill.md.
The first evening brings Andrei Kurkov, the famous Ukrainian writer translated into 45 languages, to the stage of the Teatrul Fără Nume, in a dialogue with the Romanian poet and translator Radu Vancu, Thursday, September 25, from 6:00 PM.
On Friday, September 26, at MIMI Castle, “Literature at the Castle” will take place, a discussion titled “Chișinău – the perfect meeting place between East and West” about the dynamics of literature, multilingualism and the role of Chișinău as a bridge between the two sides. The writers Arevik Ashkharoyan (Armenia), Lorina Bălteanu (Republic of Moldova), Andrei Kurkov (Ukraine), Gaga Lomidze (Georgia) and Piotr Pogorzelski (Poland) will participate, moderated by Radu Vancu, starting at 4:30 PM.
On Saturday, September 27, from 6:00 PM, the renowned French writer Pascal Bruckner, an author translated into over 30 languages, will dialogue, at the Teatrul Fără Nume, with journalist Cătălin Sava about multiculturalism, intercultural relations and social issues.
On Sunday, September 28, Dorota Masłowska, renowned Polish writer and playwright, will take the stage of the Teatrul Fără Nume at 3:30 PM, alongside journalist Cătălin Striblea.



The full festival program includes meetings with authors from around the world, literary debates, workshops for journalists, the Literature Train, the White Night of Poetry and a concert by the TEIU band.
All events are free of charge, with prior registration on the website, the organizers say.
