Defense Ministry: Foreign personnel in Cimișlia are embassy diplomats

The Ministry of Defense denied claims circulating on several Telegram channels about the presence of foreign military personnel in a public area in Cimișlia, labeling these interpretations as inaccurate.
According to the institution, the individuals in the photo are defense attaches accredited in Chisinau, who recently visited a military unit in the Cahul garrison for fact-finding purposes.
Representatives from the Ministry emphasize that military attaches are members of the diplomatic staff of embassies and are permanent employees of missions accredited in the Republic of Moldova. They handle official responsibilities related to bilateral cooperation in the field of defense.
Additionally, this visit was included in the National Army's Internal Activity Plan for 2025.
The Ministry of Defense urges citizens to remain vigilant and advises them to obtain information only from official sources.
