Travel alert in Greece: Disruptions in transport and public service provision
Moldovan citizens currently in, transiting through, or planning to travel to Greece are advised that a strike is expected to begin on Wednesday, October 1, at 00:01 local time. This strike will affect several sectors nationwide and is scheduled to last 24 hours.
According to the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Athens, “significant disruptions” are possible in the field of public road, rail, sea and air transport.
Additionally, several areas of activity are expected to be impacted, particularly those in health, education, and public services.
“We recommend that interested citizens inform themselves in advance about the flight schedule and maintain contact with airlines and travel agencies to receive details regarding possible delays or cancellations of flights”, the diplomatic mission informs.
