Moldova: Yellow Code rain warning issued for 7-8 October
Heavy, continuous rain is affecting Moldova, prompting weather authorities to issue a severe warning.
The country's National Weather Service has issued a 'Yellow Code' severe weather warning for prolonged rain across the country, running from 7 to 8 October.
The service reports the continuous rain is expected to bring between 15 and 49 litres per square metre (l/sqm) of accumulated precipitation, with isolated areas forecast to receive 50 to 90 l/sqm.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach highs of 16C (61F), with overnight lows between 8C and 10C.
