Two men injured after a car crashed into a tree in Causeni

Two men were hospitalized after their car skidded off the road and collided with a tree. The accident occurred on October 8 at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the village of Hagimus, Causeni District.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies (IGSU), a car driver allegedly lost control of the steering wheel due to excessive speed, resulting in a violent crash into a tree along the roadside.
After the impact, both occupants of the vehicle were trapped between the car's wheels. Rescuers from the Causeni Fire and Rescue Unit responded to the scene and performed extrication efforts. The driver, a 32-year-old man, was found unconscious, while the 37-year-old passenger was semi-conscious and suffered fractures to his lower limbs.
Both victims were taken by the Causeni Emergency Medical Assistance Service crew and transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. They urge drivers to adhere to traffic rules and adjust their speed according to road conditions to prevent similar incidents in the future.
