DECREE | First meeting of new Parliament set for October 22

The new Parliament session will be held on October 22, beginning at 10:00 a.m. President Maia Sandu signed the decree on October 17. During this first session, the elected deputies will elect the governing and working bodies of the Parliament and start the procedures for appointing a new Government.

The Constitutional Court validated on October 16 the results of the parliamentary elections of September 28, 2025 and the mandates of the elected deputies. The High Court confirmed the legality of the election and its compliance with the provisions of the Constitution and the Electoral Code. At the same time, the Court also confirmed the lists of alternate candidates.

The participation rate was 52.24%, and according to the results of the validly cast vote, five electoral competitors exceeded the minimum threshold of representation.

Thus, the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) obtained 55 mandates, followed by the Patriotic Electoral Bloc (BEP) with 26 mandates, the "Alternative" Bloc (BeA) with eight mandates, and the Our Party (PN) and the "Democracy at Home" Party (PPDA) obtained six mandates each.
