Vadim Ceban announces the volumes of gas that Moldovagaz will deliver daily to the Transnistrian region: “They are sufficient.”

The Moldovagaz company delivered 3.3 million cubic meters of gas to the Transnistrian region on Friday, October 17, and the volumes, which will decrease in the coming days, "are sufficient", assures Vadim Ceban, the interim president of Moldovagaz, the company responsible for supplying gas to the left bank of the Nistru.
“*The volume for the next few days will be 1.5 million cubic meters. Further, around 2.3 million cubic meters will be delivered, but the volumes can change every day, because October is the month with very deviated consumption," Vadim Ceban said for Teleradio Moldova.
The official avoided providing more details, reasoning that the available information is “mostly commercial”.
“There are sufficient gas volumes, so there is no reason for concern”, Vadim Ceban told us.
At the same time, when asked about the risk of a new energy crisis breaking out across the Nistru, Ceban replied that “currently, everything is working normally, at a constant pace”*.
We remind you that, starting today, October 17, Moldovagaz resumed gas deliveries to the region on the left bank of the Nistru. This will allow the heating season to start, as well as the resumption of the supply of hot water to consumers.
President Maia Sandu declared on October 16 that there were technical problems regarding the delivery of gas to the Transnistrian region.
“For the moment, as far as I understand, there are technical problems. We are not faced with a definitive cessation of gas deliveries to the Transnistrian region. However, we cannot know how long the Russian Federation will continue these deliveries. The left bank must be ready for an emergency situation. There are some reserve resources, planned even during the January crisis, and the Government will act depending on the evolution of the situation,” the head of state declared in a TV show.
Maia Sandu added that the region’s dependence on Russian gas remains a reality as long as the Russian Federation army is illegally stationed on the left bank of the Nistru.
