Bălți: New bridge under repair with investments over 37.5 million lei

A bridge in operation for over 50 years, located north of the city of Balti, will undergo major rehabilitation works, which are to be completed by summer next year. The estimated value of the contract exceeds 37.5 million lei.
The construction is located on the R6 Chisinau–Orhei–Balti public road, at kilometer 136.20, and represents a railway crossing.
Repair work is scheduled to begin on November 17. The National Road Administration announced that it is waiting for offers from contractors by October 30.

The passage is 50.45 meters long and 10.5 meters wide, with two traffic lanes, each three meters wide, and two safety lanes, one on each side, one meter wide each.

Recently, the National Road Administration also announced the repair of the bridge that connects the Ceadir-Lunga road to the city of Taraclia. Local authorities and drivers emphasize the importance of this route, where maintenance work has not been carried out for over half a century. In this case, the works will also start in November and should be completed by spring 2027.
Also by October 30, bids are expected for the rehabilitation of the bridge in the village of Răuțel, Fălești district. The National Road Administration launched a contract worth 19 million lei, with the works to be executed by summer next year.
