EcoVoucher Program: over 500 more families will buy new appliances with Norway’s support
About 550 families will have the chance to replace their old appliances with new, energy-efficient models. A new round of the EcoVoucher Program, launched on October 23, offers vouchers of 6,000 lei each for purchasing appliances.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the beneficiaries of this session are families with two minor children and individuals aged 63 or older. The selection of beneficiaries was based on eligibility criteria and information registered on the compensatii.gov.md platform.
The vouchers can be used to purchase energy-efficient household appliances, such as refrigerators and washing machines, which comply with European efficiency standards and the CE marking.
The program covers up to 70% of the price of a new appliance, and beneficiaries can buy the equipment from partner stores, with free delivery and collection of old appliances for recycling.

Since the launch of this program, over 37,000 families in the Republic of Moldova have benefited from vouchers for large household appliances. In 2025 alone, Norway's funding enabled the redemption of over 24,700 vouchers.
