Foreign tourists praise Moldova: “Great food, friendly people, rich heritage”
The Republic of Moldova is increasingly attracting tourists from around the world. Over the past year, the number of foreign visitors has risen by more than 44 percent. This growth is further demonstrated by events like Big Fam Trip Moldova, an informational tour now in its second edition, which has welcomed participants from countries such as China, Dubai, India, Israel, and Ukraine.

The tour participants admired several tourist attractions in the country, and then visited a tourist complex.
“I will tell my Chinese friends about Moldova, I will encourage them to visit Moldova. It is very beautiful, the people are hospitable and I feel their warmth, it is like coming home. I discovered the word “luck”, which would mean a lot of success!”.
“This is my first visit to Moldova and I really like the weather, the food, the people, the heritage”.
“I am really impressed by my visit to Moldova. I thank the National Tourism Office of Moldova for the invitation, it is a wonderful experience. I think everyone is nice, kind and friendly”.
“In our group, we are from different cultures, but we danced together, drank together and shared best wishes”.
In recent years, the Ministry of Culture has launched several initiatives to increase the interest of foreign visitors, promoting the country’s tourism potential abroad.
"Through our strategy, we have set out this year and in the coming years to promote the Republic of Moldova as a tourist destination as much as possible. More tourists mean a greater popularization of tourist destinations, an increase in the number of people visiting the country and, respectively, more revenue in the budget for external promotion", stated the State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Andrei Chistol.
"Everyone came to explore the Republic of Moldova and to encourage future tourists from these countries to discover and formulate specific travel packages. The Republic of Moldova has immense tourist potential. In this tour, we showcase the most beautiful aspects of our country: our gastronomy, natural landscapes, exquisite wines, and rich traditions," stated Valentin Ceban, the interim director of the National Tourism Office.

The information tour was organized by the National Tourism Office, in partnership with the Employers' Association of the Tourism Industry of Moldova, with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
In the first two quarters of 2025, the number of foreign visitors to our country exceeded 37 thousand, 44% more than in the same period last year. Most visitors came from Romania, Italy and Turkey.
