Gas trading extended to weekends via Romanian Commodity Exchange EST in Moldova
Companies engaged in the wholesale natural gas market via the Romanian Commodity Exchange EST in the Republic of Moldova will have the opportunity to trade the necessary gas seven days a week, including weekends. This extended trading program will begin on November 1.
In a recent press release, the institution announced that extending the trading program to weekends will enhance market liquidity, stability, and security, ultimately facilitating the supply process for end consumers.
Transactions will be available from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, excluding public holidays.
It's important to note that the Romanian Commodity Exchange EST launched the intraday and day-ahead natural gas market this October, marking a significant innovation in the energy market of the Republic of Moldova. More than 30 companies in the natural gas sector are now trading through this exchange.
All transactions are 100% financially guaranteed in accordance with the trading procedures approved by ANRE, and all licensed suppliers can participate.
