Emmanuel Macron invited Maia Sandu to the Paris Peace Forum

President Maia Sandu will represent the Republic of Moldova at the Paris Peace Forum, which will take place on Wednesday, October 29, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

During the event, the head of state will deliver a speech in a session dedicated to the integrity of information and the role of independent media, according to a press release from the Presidency in Chisinau.

The Paris Peace Forum, now in its eighth edition, was launched in 2018 at the initiative of President Emmanuel Macron.

The event annually brings together political leaders, experts and representatives of civil society from around the world to discuss solutions to major global challenges: peace and security, sustainable development and good democratic governance.
