European Commissioner Maria Luís Albuquerque visits Chisinau for high-level talks on finance and EU integration

The main focus of European Commissioner for Financial Services, Union for Economies and Investments, Maria Luís Albuquerque, during her two-day visit to the Republic of Moldova will be to strengthen the dialogue between the European Union and Moldova. The discussions will center on developing a modern financial market and creating new opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
The agenda for the visit of the European Commission representative includes meetings with representatives of national authorities, financial and banking institutions, and economic experts from the Republic of Moldova. The discussions will aim to deepen EU-Moldova cooperation in the financial field, strengthen economic stability and support sustainable investments.
Maria Luís Albuquerque will also participate in the high-level dialogue workshop "Finance and Economic Growth: Lessons for the European Path of the Republic of Moldova", organised by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM). The event will bring together senior officials from national and European authorities, representatives of international financial institutions, and economic experts to discuss the Republic of Moldova's economic and financial priorities on its path to European Union accession.
The Commissioner will deliver a special speech on the role of financial markets in strengthening economic stability and supporting the structural reforms necessary for the Republic of Moldova's integration into the European space.
According to the National Bank of Moldova, the visit of the European official represents a recognition of the progress made by our country in the financial field and an opportunity to intensify cooperation with European partners to modernize the economy.
