A new step for cross-border cooperation: ADR Centru signs the contract for the Interreg NEXT Antenna Office
The Regional Development Agency (RDA) Centru will support the implementation of the Interreg NEXT Romania - Republic of Moldova 2021–2027 Program. This support follows the signing of the framework financing contract for the Antenna Office of the Joint Secretariat, which will be established within the agency in Iași.
The document was signed on Friday by the Director of the ADR Centru, Ion Pînzari, and the Executive Director of the Regional Office for Cross-Border Cooperation Iași, Ion Apostu. The new office, hosted by the ADR Centru, will support the implementation of joint projects between communities from the Republic of Moldova and Romania, financed by the European Interreg NEXT 2021-2027 Programme.
According to the ADR Centru, the activity of the Antenna Office will contribute to strengthening cross-border cooperation and improving the implementation of bilateral projects. In this regard, the office team will:
provide support to beneficiaries from the Republic of Moldova for the efficient implementation of projects;
facilitate partnerships between organisations from the Republic of Moldova and Romania;
contribute to the implementation of the Programme’s annual information and communication plans, through promotional materials, events and awareness-raising campaigns in the Republic of Moldova;
actively collaborate with programme structures and national authorities to improve management and reporting processes.
The institution's representatives emphasize that this partnership marks a new step in strengthening relations between the two banks of the Prut, but also in increasing the institutional performance of ADR Centru in implementing the commitments assumed towards the European Union.
"This collaboration opens up real prospects for common development and for creating new opportunities for people and communities," said ADR Centru Director Ion Pînzari.
