AC Milan beat Roma, extend unbeaten run, and climb to third in Serie A

AC Milan extended their unbeaten run to over three months following a home victory against AS Roma, moving up to 3rd place in the Serie A standings.

After Roma started the match brightly and created the first chances, Milan scored in the 39th minute. Strahinja Pavlovic scored after a Rafael Leao assist.

AS Roma pressed for an equalizer in the second half, with Fofana and Nkunku missing clear-cut chances to score. The visitors were also awarded a penalty late on, in the 82nd minute, but World Cup winner Paulo Dybala failed to convert from the spot.

Thanks to the victory, AC Milan moved up to 3rd place in the Serie A table with 21 points. Roma are level on points, but sit in 4th place due to an inferior goal difference.

After 10 matchdays, Napoli top the table with 22 points.
