UCL Matchday 4: Liverpool host undefeated Real Madrid

Tonight, all football fans' attention is focused on two spectacular Champions League (UCL) fixtures in England and France.
FC Liverpool hosts undefeated Real Madrid at Anfield Road, while Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the trophy holder, clash with Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes.
This Matchday 4 round of the UCL group stage promises high-stakes action. The English side, Liverpool, faces a monumental test against Real Madrid, who currently maintain a perfect, undefeated record in the competition so far.
The Liverpool vs Real Madrid encounter is especially significant for two figures: Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso and defender Trent Alexander-Arnold. Alonso is a Reds legend, having won the UCL trophy with the club.
"This is a match that football fans are looking forward to with bated breath. Both Trent and I have our history here at Liverpool, and it is always nice to return to a place where you were so loved. Now we want to do our job and get a good result here," stated Xabi Alonso.
In contrast to the visiting team, Liverpool enters the game having secured 2 victories and one defeat in their first three group stage matches.
"We will once again face a team that is in excellent form, just like Aston Villa was last weekend. It is good that we will play at home, especially since we played at Anfield a few days ago and saw how the fans influence the team's performance. We hope that the team on the field and those in the stands will be one whole," mentioned Arne Slot, Liverpool coach.
Significantly, the Liverpool - Real Madrid match will be refereed by the Romanian official Istvan Kovacs, who also oversaw the Champions League final last season.
PSG and Bayern battle for top spot
Separately, in France, the top two teams in the UCL group go head-to-head! Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, both sitting on a maximum of nine points after three matches, will battle it out at the Parc des Princes. Although both teams boast straight wins, PSG currently leads the table with a superior goal difference.
Paris Saint-Germain also carries a remarkable undefeated record in the Champions League, extending for over six months.
