Marta Kos praises Moldova EU accession progress and economic growth

European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, praised the vision of the new Government of the Republic of Moldova and its commitment to modernization and economic growth goals.
Speaking with members of the new Cabinet of Ministers on Tuesday morning, November 11, the Brussels official declared the economic relaunch of the Republic of Moldova "important" and "welcome," calling it crucial for the nation's path toward Moldova EU Accession.
According to the Delegation of the European Union to Chișinău, Kos met with Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov, and other Executive members to discuss priority Chișinău reforms essential for the European integration process.

These priority areas focus on the consolidation of the Rule of Law and infrastructure development. The EU's support remains constant in helping Moldova achieve these key objectives.
Commissioner Kos publicly congratulated the Chișinău authorities for the recorded progress. This success was highlighted in the 2025 Enlargement Report, which indicates a more advanced level of preparation for 21 chapters of the community acquis and visible advances in most key areas.


The Commissioner is currently on an official visit to Chișinău on November 11. She is participating in the conference "2025 Enlargement Report: Progress and Future Priorities of the Republic of Moldova," an event designed to strengthen EU-Moldova relations. The conference gathers representatives from the Government, international partners, academia, the private sector, and civil society.
Kos's agenda also includes separate meetings with the leadership of the Republic of Moldova.
Later this afternoon, November 11, Marta Kos is scheduled to make a press statement at "Eugen Doga" International Airport – Chișinău.
