Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance: 80 years of continuous activity
The Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance marked its 80th anniversary of continuous service in economic education in the Republic of Moldova. Graduates, teachers, and students expressed their gratitude for the strong foundations established at the center. The celebration concluded with a themed concert.
The Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance is the first financial and economic institution in the Republic of Moldova. Currently, it has over 1,700 students.
"I had many opportunities to attend other colleges and pursue different specialties, but from what I've heard, this is the most prestigious one where you can obtain valuable resources and knowledge," says student Dragoș Blanari.
"I really enjoy this college. It has qualified teachers and a very open, friendly team," mentions student Aliona Neted.
The Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance offers 11 specialties.
“The newest specialties we are proud to introduce are Business Planning and Organization and Customs Trade. Our goal is to ensure we have competent specialists in the market,” emphasizes Professor Galina Bugenko.
“We are celebrating 80 years of excellence. Our greatest achievement is our students and graduates,” says the college’s director, Aliona Şargo.
Former graduates were invited to the institution's anniversary celebration. Among them was MP Radu Marian, who admitted to occasionally skipping classes.
“Well, I think it's inevitable, but rare. Overall, I enjoyed attending classes. I’m not claiming to have been a straight-A student, but I was a good student. An interesting memory is that a friend and I wrote the anthem for the Financial-Banking College; I wrote the lyrics and sang it,” recalls Radu Marian.
“It is a pillar institution that trains specialists in the field of economics and finance. Over the years, it has consistently demonstrated its effectiveness,” emphasizes Liudmila Stihi, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Research.
Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance in Chisinau was founded on November 29, 1945.
