380 more courtyards will be repaired in Chisinau

The "European Courtyard" program, which began with repairs in 39 apartment building courtyards in Chisinau, is now expanding. During a meeting on November 26, the Government approved the addition of 384 new initiatives to the Single Project Document (DUP). The total funding for these initiatives is 1.7 billion lei, provided by the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.
Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, who also serves as the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, announced that 380 concept notes have been submitted under the "European Courtyard" program. Among these, three projects focus on buildings with a socio-cultural purpose, and one project has been submitted under the national program "European Village," edition 2.
384 courtyards fully repaired
Following a recent government decision, Bolea highlighted that 384 new projects will be included in the Single Project Document, indicating that 384 courtyards will be fully repaired.
He noted that repair work is currently underway in 39 courtyards of apartment buildings in Chisinau, where significant repairs have not been carried out for over 40 years.
"We are changing lives with every action of our Government. Each investment made in the well-being of citizens reflects our responsibility to the community and the people," Bolea stated.
From Chisinau to other cities
Bolea announced that, following discussions with mayors across the country, the authorities are considering expanding the "European Courtyard" program to other cities in the Republic of Moldova, using the "European Village" model.
"We will begin with the municipality of Chisinau and then expand the European Courtyard program to other towns in the Republic of Moldova. This way, we are progressing with confidence in the development of the entire country," concluded Deputy Prime Minister Bolea.
Currently, 1,300 projects are being implemented in the villages of the Republic of Moldova, financed through the "European Village 2" program.
